Aishwarya Dhanush’s Next Film Won’t Be on Mariappan but on Ghosts!

It is reliably learnt that director Aishwarya, wife of national award-winning actor and multi-faceted Dhanush and eldest daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, would be making a ‘ghost’ film as his next directorial venture.

It may be recalled that Aishwarya debuted as film-maker with 3 which had her husband Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in the lead (it also had some intimate sequences between the lead pair) in 2012. The film not only marked her debut as a director but also marked music director and her cousin Anirudh Ravichander’s debut in Kollywood as well!

She also made Vai Raja Vai three years later with Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in the lead. Three years have rolled on since the film and Aishwarya doesn’t seem to be in the mood to make another film though she announced a couple of months back that she would make a film on Paralympic gold medallist Mariappan Thangavelu’s life after the latter won the gold in high jump at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympics.

Even as her fans and audiences appreciated her spirit in attempting to make a film on a (disabled) athlete as it would serve as a huge source of encouragement for all, it now turns out that Aishwarya has undergone a change of heart and decided to make her next film as a ‘ghost’ film which would be produced (obviously) by Dhanush under his banner ‘Wunderbar Films’.

What happened to the biopic on Mariappan is something only Aishwarya can clarify!
