Prabhu Deva-remya Nambeesan’s ‘silent’ Mercury to Release on 13th April

Burly Karthik Subbaraj, who is directing superstar Rajinikanth in his next untitled venture to be produced by Sun Pictures, is gearing up for the release of his fourth directorial venture Mercury after Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi.

Karthik has also produced the film under his banner ‘Stone Bench Films’ in association with Ben Studios. Prabhu Seva, Sanath Shetty, Deepak Paramesh, Remya Nambeesan, ‘Meyaadha Maan’ Induja and Aneesh Padmah have essayed prominent roles in the film which has no dialogues except backdround and has been made as a ‘silent’ thriller.

Prabhu Deva has essayed a negative role for the first time in his more than 25-year long film career. The film’s teaser, which was released recently, met with a huge response from movie-goers and netizens. Karthi has informed that Trident Arts has acquired the film’s release and distribution rights in Tamil Nadu.

Karthik’s favourite music director Santhosh Narayanan has scored the all-important background score in this film while Vivek Harshan is the editor. The film’s crew is hoping that the film industry’s strike, which has crippled movie halls and release of new films across Tamil Nadu for the past few weeks, comes to an end soon so that the film can be released in a tense-free atmosphere on the eve of Tamil New Year day on 13th April!
