It has been announced that the Arvind Swamy-Amala Paul starrer Bhaskar Oru Rascal would be released in theatres on 29th March.
The crew’s announcement has taken movie-goers by surprise as theatre-owners in Tamil Nadu have taken a conscious decision not to release any new films till an agreement is reached between those digitizing films so as to reduce the cost per film to acceptable/agreeable levels.
Siddique, who has made plenty of Tamil films in the past including Vietnam Colony, Friends, Engal Anna and Kaavalan, directed the hit Malayalam film Bhaskar The Rascal in 2015. Starring Mammootty and Nayantara in the lead, the film is now remade in Tamil with the title Bhaskar Oru Rascal with Siddique again stepping in as the director.
Arvind Swamy and Amala Paul play the lead roles in the film which has Nassar, Soori, Robot Shankar, Ramesh Kanna, Siddique, Mastar Raghav and Baby Nainika besides Bollywood’s actor-filmmaker Aftab Shivdasan who plays the angatonist. Amresh Ganesh and Vijay Ulaganath are the film’s music director and cinematographer (respectively in that order).
Produced by Harshini Movies, the action-packed comic venture is to be released across theatres in the State by Bharathan Films on 29th March.
