Sivakarthikeyan’s Sci-fi Film Has Him Romancing Rakul Preet Singh

If reports emanating from Kollywood are to be relied upon, actress Rakul Preet Singh has been chosen as the heroine of television anchor-turned-actor Sivakarthikeyan’s next untitled film which would be of ‘science fiction’ genre.

After his latest release Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Seemaraja which is directed by Ponram, who had given the actor two super-duper hits in the form of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan. Seemaraja pits him opposite Samantha for the first time on-screen. The film’s post-production work has begun and is likely to release around ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ day.

It now turns out that Sivakarthikeyan’s next film would be directed by Ravikumar Rajendran (of Indru Nettru Naalai fame). As readers might recall, Indru Nettru Naalai was a science fiction venture based on the concept of ‘time travel’ and it appears that Rajendran’s next venture would also be on similar lines. The untitled films’ pre-production work, which had been going on for an year, was completed recently.

Sivakarthikeyan’s close friend Raja would be producing the film under his banner ’24 AM Studios’. A.R. Rahman would be scoring the film’s music. Rakul, the Spyder and Theeran Adhikaaran Ondru heroine, has been sounded to play the heroine to which she has given the consent but hasn’t yet signed along the dotted lines.
