Actor Karthi would be romancing Vanamagan fame Sayyeshaa and television anchor-turned-actress Priya Bhawani Shankar in his upcoming film Kadaikutty Singam, produced by his elder brother and actor Suriya under his banner ‘2-D Entertainment’.
Curvacous Sayyeshaa, who has earned the reputation of being the ‘fastest’ dancing actress in Kollywood thanks to her amazing dance movements in last year’s debut film Vanamagan, has been going places in Kollywood with films opposite Vijay Sethupathi and Karthi in her kitty and many others in the pipeline. Priya, who also debuted last year in films with Meyaadha Maan, gets to play the second fiddle to Sayyeshaa.
Arthana, veteran actor Sathyaraj, Bhanupriya, Viji Chandrasekhar, Ponvannan, Soori, Sriman and Soundararaja play prominent roles in the film. Sathyaraj and Bhanupriya, who had played the lead roles in quite a few films in the nineties, play Karthi’s parents in Kadaikutty Singam. Karthi plays a farmer in the film and appears as the last in a family of six siblings, the rest of them being his five elder sisters.
This would also be Karthi’s next rural-based script after Komban which released some time back. Ultra-modern Sayyeshaa plays a typical village belle in the film directed by national award-winning filmmaker Pandiraj, who also directed Suriya’s earlier production venture Pasanga 2. Velraj is the film’s cinematographer while D. Imman scores the music.
