Bala Prefers No ‘audio-launch’ for Naachiyaar Which Releases on Friday!

It is not known why maverick film-maker Bala, the producer-director whose mindset is often difficult to decipher for critics as well as friends, has chosen not to hold a formal audio launch of his upcoming directorial venture titled as Naachiyaar which releases this Friday (16th February) in theatres!

Starring actress Jyothika as the protagonist and music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash Kumar as her younger brother, the teaser of Naachiyaar was released some time back and courted immediate controversy. Jyothika, who reportedly plays a cop in the film, uttered a single-word unmistakable ‘popular’ expletive in the teaser. Opposition arose as to how an actress of Jyothika’s caliber could speak it on screen.

Jyothika assured her fans and movie-goers that the expletive won’t look ‘big’ or impactful when seen in the backdrop of the sequence in which it appears in the script. G.V. Prakash Kumar has, meanwhile, asked his fans to watch the film only in theatres and not in its prated version.

It turns out that Naachiyaar has a solitary song in Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s music and Bala wasn’t so keen in arranging for an audio-launch to release this single-track which can be viewed/heard as and when the film releases in theatres on Friday!
