Catherine Tresa Doesn’t Want to Star in ‘remake’ Films? No!

Surprisingly enough, the picture-perfect Catherins Tresa is reportedly not for starring in remakes of successful films from other languages.

Known for her role in Pa. Ranjith’s Madras more than anything else, the 28-year old Catherine has been starring in Tamil and Telugu films. She was last spotted in Tamil screen as Vishnu Vishal’s heroine in last year’s Kathanayagan. She is also one of the two heroines (along with the curvaceous Nikki Galrani) in Sundar C’s upcoming film Kalakalappu 2.

It may be recalled that she starred as the heroine in Kanithan opposite Atharvaa a couple of years back. The film was a moderately successful film and it is now said that the film is about to be remade in Telugu for which Catherine Tresa was reportedly approached to reprise the role she essayed in the Tamil version.

“Nobody approached me with the offer to star in the Telugu remake of Kanithan,” Catherine Tresa asserts. “When Kanithan released in Tamil, most of my sequences were cut off in the final version but I still won appreciation for my role in it. If I’m to star in the Telugu version, I would surely love to have more footages than the Tamil version,” she said and dismissed rumours that she hates ‘remake’ versions.
