Actor Vijay and producer-director A.R. Murugaoss’ next film, which is untitled as yet, has gone to floors with a formal muhurat yesterday.
Vijay’s last film was last Deepavali’s Mersal which had gotten into a controversy and became a huge hit. Critics say that the film, which was a mixture of two super-hit films, wouldn’t have otherwise passed the muster at the box-office but the controversial GST dialogues in the film had turned it into a hit film. Three months later, Vijay has started to shoot for the 62nd film in his 25-year long career.
After successful films such as Thuppakki and Kaththi, the duo joins hands for the third time and as such, fans of the actor and the diminutive film-maker are obviously expecting something ‘special’ to turn up. The film’s photo-shoot stills had ‘leaked’ on the Net a few days back. Vijay clapped the clap-board yesterday to commence the film’s shooting schedule in Chennai.
Keerthy Suresh, who paired up opposite Vijay in last year’s Mersal, gets her second film in two years opposite him with this as-yet-untitled film. A.R. Rahman scores the music of the film which is produced by Sun Pictures. Girish Gangadharan and Sreekar Prasad would be the cinematographer and editor of the film (respectively).
