It is reported that actor-producer-director Sasikumar’s next film Naadodigal 2 (sequel to his 2009 hit film) would have him romancing two A’s: Anjali and Athulya Ravi.
Directed by Sasikumar’s friend and the multi-faceted Samuthirakani (who won the national award for best ‘supporting actor’ in Vetrimaaran’s Visaranai), Naadodigal was a runaway hit as it was based on the bond of friendship and depicted realistically the fact that friends alone would make extreme sacrifices. Samuthirakani, who is still in the scripting process, asserts that the sequel won’t exactly take off from where the prequel ended.
Samuthirakani asserts that set in the backdrop of a small town, script of Naadodigal 2 would deal with sentiment of love and friendship. “It won’t be a film commencing from where the prequel ended,” he says. “Both Sarathkumar and Anjali would be essaying powerful roles and I predict both or either of them might even win national awards,” he says and adds that Athulya Ravi too has a ‘crucial’ role in the script.
Bharani and Namo Narayanan play prominent roles in the film. “As always, my script’s characters are inspired from real-life experiences,” informs Samuthirakani. Justin Prabhakaran and N.K. Ekambaram would be the music director and cinematographer of the film which is likely to go to floors from March onwards.
