Actress Bhumika Chawla is on a high these days. The actress has just delivered a hit film each in Tamil and Telugu in the form of Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal and Middle Class Abbayi (respectively in that order).
Looking amazing beautiful for her 39 years of age, the Delhi-born Bhumika was in for a huge surprise as her long-delayed Kalavidaya Pozhudhugal opposite Prabhu Deva (directed by Thangar Bachan), which released last week and whose shoot was wrapped up in 2010 itself, has been declared as a ‘hit film’ by trade pundits.
Released more than seven years behind its schedule, the film’s script and Bhumika and Prabhu Deva’s performances have come in for appreciation from critics, movie-goers and their respective fans. She also had her Middle Class Abbayi releasing two weeks ago; this has also been declared as a super-hit venture by pundits. She has played the sister-in-law of hero Nani in the film which has Sai Pallavi as the heroine.
Bhumika, who had starred opposite Vijay and Suriya earlier, has signed up a couple of projects recently. “I’m happy with the success of Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal and MCA and am in talks to star in a few more films. I’m ready to take on any kind of role; in fact, I want to take up roles which are beyond my age,” says the actress, who still has her ‘killer-smile’ intact despite pushing 40!
