Regina Keen to Make Her Mark in Kollywood as a Frontline Actress

Actress Regina Cassandra has made a New Year resolution to herself to strive hard to make 2018 her year during when she would have to become a frontline actress in Tamil films!

Though Regina debuted as an actress in Tamil films with the Prasanna-Laila starrer Kanda Naal Mudhal 15 years back as a teenager, she later debuted as heroine opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Pandiraj’s Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. She went on to star in a few more films and had a remarkable last year (2016) when three of her films – Gemini Ganesanum Surulirajanum, Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen and Maanagaram hit the screens and did reasonably well.

The actress, who turned 29 a few weeks back, had reduced her fee to a great extent in these films as compared to her fee in Telugu films. Born in Chennai in a Tamil Brahmin family with mixed parentage, Regina has been waiting for ages for her Selvaraghavan-directed Nenjam Marappadhillai to release in theatres.

The actress, whose dancing instincts and picture-perfect figure and a flooring smile are second to none, feels depressed that she hasn’t got any new Tamil film on hand. Sources close to her say that she is making her best efforts to get a film opposite one or two of the trio of frontline heroes – Ajith, Vijay and Suriya – in the year 2018!
