Sunny Speaks in Tamil to Release Title of Kollywood Debut Film

Bollywood’s frontline actress Sunny Leone, who was a popular adult-star before she turned her attention to Hindi films a few years back, has released the title of her debut Tamil film. She made it a special occasion by speaking in ‘husky’ Tamil!

Directed by V.C. Vadivudaiyan, the film to be made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously has been titled as Veeramadevi in its Tamil version. The period-type venture marks the 36-year old actress’ debut as heroine in Tamil films. It may be noted that she had earlier appeared in an ‘item song’ in the Jai-Swathi Reddy starrer Vadacurry a few years back.

Sunny is said to have given call-sheet for five months on-the-trot for the film’s shoot. The shooting is likely to commence from February next year, it has been informed. Crew of the film has assured that Sunny’s image as an adult-film actress would go for a toss once Veeramadevi is released in theatres in the second half of next year.

Navdeep and Nasser play prominent roles in the film whose title was revealed yesterday evening by Sunny Leone, Vadivudaiyan and the producer. Sunny’s entry as heroine in Kollywood has already become a trend on social networking sites with hashtags #SunnyLeoneInSouth & #SunnyLeoneInTamil.

‘Vanakkam Tamizhargale, Naan Veeramadeviyaga Ungalai Sandhikka Pogiren!’ (‘Hello Tamils, I’m going to meet all of you as Veeramadevi) were the words uttered by Sunny Leone in Tamil!
