Bubbly Kajal Aggarwal, who possesses one of the most voluptuous and curvaceous bodies among Indian actresses, has said that actresses should take to business venture instead of merely acting in films.
“One can’t act in films forever; an actress’ shelf-life is not more than a decade or so. Thus, it would be in the personal interest of the concerned actress to take to business venture even when they are in films,” says Kajal, who is now busy with the shoot of her Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit film Queen.
Actresses do lead a lavish life while they enjoy successful careers; however, once they are out of it, their income stops completely and they have no other go but to bank on the money earned during their careers. More often than not, actresses are unable to sustain their lifestyle and become symbols of apathy once they are out of films and are no more the ‘source’ of income to their respective families.
‘Milk beauty’ Tamannaah has launched an online jewellery store while Taapsee Pannu runs a firm which organizes marriage. Actresses Trisha, Anushka and Nayantara are said to be investing huge money in real estate. Curvaceous Ileana D’Cruz runs a boutique, Rakul Preet Singh a Women’s Spa and Shriya Saran a beauty parlour. It is in this context that Kajal has spoken about the need for actresses to run businesses.
“Actresses treat films so dear to their hearts but they should realize that they can’t act forever. Once they are out of reckoning in films, nobody would bother about them and what would they do to take care of their and their families’ needs? I’m thinking along these lines and would venture out into a business very soon. Once I’m out of films and launch my business, I’d never come back to films,” Kajal Aggarwal said.
