Television anchor-turned-actor Sivakarthikeyan is following actor Vijay’s style of giving wrap-up parties to his film’s crew members and technicians. When queried about it, pat came the reply from the star who said that if somebody did some good thing, it didn’t mean that he shouldn’t be doing such things.
Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘major’ Friday of the year is arriving in four days as the star gears up for his first and only release of the year with the year-end Christmas bonanza Velaikkaran which is helmed by ‘Jayam’ Raja (who has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues), arguably a director with a high percentage of hit films to his director.
Starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayantara in the lead for the first time, the film’s release and distribution rights in the State have been sold for Rs.60 crores, which is almost equal to that of Ajith Kumar and Vijay starrers. Sivakarthikeyan, who also is a huge hit among the kids like actor Vijay, is said to be emulating the style of the latter who had been accused in the past of copying superstar Rajinikanth’s style off screen.
Soon after the post-production work of Velaikkaran was wrapped up, Sivakarthikeyan threw a lavish party to all the crew members including technicians and artistes of the film, something that Ajith and Vijay do regularly for the past few years. When queried about this, the 32-year old Sivakarthikeyan said that he was aware of the ‘good heart’ of actor Vijay but added that it still won’t deter him from expressing his gratitude.
