Vikram Opts Out as Suriya, Vishal and Vimal to Clash for Pongal Honours

National award-winning actor ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s fans might feel a little disappointed as their favorite actor’s upcoming film Sketch (in which he has been paired up opposite ‘milky beauty’ Tamannaah for the first time) is getting postponed and is not releasing in Pongal (January) as scheduled earlier.

This leaves the field open for Suriya, Vishal and Vimal, who have their films Thaana Serndha Koottam, Irumbu Thirai and Mannar Vagera (respectively in that order) releasing on the ‘Day of Farmers’ vying for Pongal honours at the box-office.

Suriya is paired up opposite Keerthy Suresh for the first time in Vignesh Shivan-directed Thaana Serndha Koottam whose script is obviously about a youth who takes to streets against the evil designs of politicians. Suriya’s fans are not so happy with Shivan for the delay in the film’s release but are somewhat happy that the film is finally releasing in theaters on Pongal.

Vishal’s first film opposite newly-wed Samantha, which he has produced under his banner, and Vimal’s Mannar Vagera (Vimal’s own production) are also set to release on Pongal, thus making it exciting for movie-goers.
