Many Frontline Heroines Turned Down Offer to Star in Aruvi

Producer S.R. Prabhu has revealed that many frontline heroines turned down the offer to play the lead role of ‘Aruvi’ in his upcoming film Aruvi produced under the banner ‘Dream Warrior Pictures’ by S.R. Prakashbabu and S.R. Prabhu. The film’s trailer and teaser have already been lauded by critics and others.

Debutant Aditi Balan has essayed the lead role of the protagonist ‘Aruvi’ in the film which has Shweta Shekhar, Anjali Varadhan and Madankumar in the lead. Vedanth has scored the film’s music while Shelly has cinematographed it. Speaking at a meet-the-press event held in connection with the film’s release, Prabhu said that Aruvi was by far the best film produced under their banner.

“When a friend of mine asked me to name some good films that I had seen, I couldn’t proudly refer to all of my films; it was then that I decided to make only those films which would make me and my production house proud. Aruvi is on such film which has been made as a result of dedicated hard-work put in by the film’s crew and all technicians.

“Arun Prabhu, the director, and his crew sweated it out each day to make a film of high quality. We spoke to some frontline heroines who refused to take up the offer to play the lead role and it was only later that we zeroed in on Aditi after screening more than 500 girls,” the producer concluded.
