National award-winning actor Dhanush has said that it is always a ‘reality’ that his close friend and actor Simbu was always a better dance than himself.
Dhanush spoke at the audio-launch of Santhanam’s upcoming film Sakka Podu Podu Raja held in the city yesterday. Santhanam and Vaibhavi Shandilya lay the lead roles in the film which has music by Simbu, who is also making his debut in films as music director with this venture. Dhanush was present on the occasion to wish Simbu good luck in his new avatar.
“I wish Simbu, Santhanam and the entire crew success with this film. I and Simbu started off as heroes in the same year (2002) but he had been acting in films right from the time when he was just 3 years of age. As such, comparisons between us had become inevitable over the years. We have had ups and downs in our respective career. It’s to Simbu’s credit that he has succeeded as hero for 15 long years.
“I was a reluctant actor and a more reluctant dancer. From my first film till today, I could never dance as good as Simbu who is always a better dancer than me. I appeal to Simbu on behalf of his fans to star in at least two films per year. I’m also eager to sing in Simbu’s music and I wonder why he didn’t call me to sing in this film,” Dhanush concluded.
