Cinematographer-turned-actor Nataraj Subramaniam a.k.a. Natty, who has starred in hit films such as Sathuranga Vettai, has asserted that he has no issues when it comes to playing the second hero or a second fiddle to the main protagonist.
Natty was eager to set the record straight amid rumours in the press which ascribed his absence at the audio-launch of his upcoming Nivin Pauly-starrer Richie to his ‘dissatisfaction’ on getting neglected at the release of the film’s first-look posters. Laughing heartily, Natty said he didn’t have anything to comment about the first-look posters which didn’t carry his image adding it was the director’s choice.
“I was busy shooting at Coonoor and was informed about the audio-launch only the previous day and thus couldn’t make it to the launch. I play a very prominent role in the film and I’m happy with the way my characterization in the film has been handled by director Gautham Ramachandran. I play a boat mechanic in the film who later gets friendly with the character essayed by Nivin Pauly in the film,” Natty informs.
“I have no qualms in essaying the second hero or a character artiste’s role; in fact, these roles and some roles I had done in the past tend to leave a lasting impression in viewers’ minds. I only know two C’s in my life: cricket and cinema and am trying to incorporate in my next film whatever I might have learnt in my previous film(s),” says Natty, who also has Godfather and Nerunguda Pappom in his kitty as an actor.
