Actor-producer-director M. Sasikumar’s next film has been titled as Asuravatham and for once, it won’t be produced by Sasikumar himself.
Saskumar’s Kodiveeran, directed by his Kutti Puli director Muthaiah, was to release on 18th October but faced some last-minute hiccups and was postponed. It is now slated to releae in theatres next Thursday (30th November). Mahima Nambiar, who looks several years younger to the bearded Sasikumar, plays his heroine in Kodiveeran.
Sasikumar usually takes a few weeks’ break after the release of his films to make a formal announcement about his next venture. Deviating from his usual habit, he has now announced on his Twitter account about what would be his next film.
Asuravatham to be directed by M. Marudhu Pandian of Chennai Ungalai Varaverkirathu fame, would be Sasikumar’s next film which would be produced by Mrs. Leena Lalithkumar on behalf of her production house ‘Seven Screens Studio’. Pandian is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film.
After a long time, Sasikumar has committed to star in an ‘outside’ film whose heroine, other artistes and technicians are being finalized.
