Pei Pasi Is the First Tamil Film to Be Shot in a Single Location

An upcoming Tamil film titled as Pei Pasi is all set to enter the record books as it is the first-ever Tamil film to have been shot wholly on a single location – inside a shop!

Hollywood has witnessed such films in the past (The Room & The Mist) which had been shot in a single room/location and had won many awards for the same. A Tamil film has just been attempted on these lines.

Debutant director Srinivas Kalyan says that the script of Pei Pasi is shown to be taking place in a single shop. “Though there won’t be a direct image of a ghost in the film, it would surely be terrifying for the audiences. It’s a kind of romantic horror film which has a huge, unexpected ‘twist’ towards the end,” says Kalyan.

“It was indeed tough to shoot the entire film in a single location but we worked with dedication, sincerity and commitment,” he said. Karunakaran, Namitha and ‘YouTube’ fame Haribhaskar have essayed prominent roles in the film which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the ‘Junior Maestro’.
