He also managed to steal the show from Mahesh Babu with the antagonist’s role in the former’s Spyder which released in Tamil and Telugu recently.

Suryah, who played the villain to Vijay in his latest hit film Mersal, also has Nenjam Marappadhillai and Iravakkaalam lined up for release in theatres. One of Karthi’s aides, who hasn’t yet been finalized, would turn director with this untitled film.

National award-winning actor Bobby Simha was initially offered a prominent role in the film but Karthik backed out after Simha demanded quite a fortune to star in the film. Simha’s place in the film has been taken up by Sanath Reddy of Demonte Colony fame.
