Jai’s new heroine Monica to be in films only for two years

Reba Monica John, the debutant heroine who has been paired up opposite Jai in a new film, has stated that she would be in films only for two years after which she would quit films to pursue her academic career.

The pretty-looking actress, who is a cousin of actress Anu Emmanuel (who debuted as heroine in Tamil films recently opposite Vishal in Mysskin’s suspense-thriller Thupparivaalan), has been starring in Tamil and Malayalam films.

The untitled film which paves Monica’s entry in Kollywood would be directed by debutant director Pichumani, who was earlier assisting director Venkat Prabhu for the past decade. “I play a prominent role in the film and don’t have many romantic sequences with Jai,” Monica spills the beans and describes the film as a ‘chase’ film on the lines of successful Hollywood ventures.

“I have said ‘no’ to quite a few film offers as I’m keen to return to pursuing my academic career in two years from now. I shall be in films exactly for two years from now after which I shall pursue academics and become a teacher,” informs Monica.
