Superstar Rajinikanth left for Dubai yesterday along with his family members to attend the audio-launch of his upcoming mega-venture 2.0.
Directed by Shankar and bringing together Rajini and Shankar for the third time after Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran: The Robot, the film is a sequel to Enthiran and has been produced at a whopping cost of more than Rs.400 crores by Lyca Productions. Twin-Oscar award winner A.R. Rahman, the film’s music director, would perform ‘live’ at the audio launch, upping the interest of music buffs in the Gulf.
Rajini’s fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of 25th January next year when 2.0 would hit screens across the globe in a grand manner. Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar and Sudanshu Pandey play major roles in the film as antagonists while Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the film which has created huge expectation and excitement not only amid Rajini’s fans but also among movie-goers.
The ‘making of the film’ video, which was released some time back, met with tremendous response from netizens. The audio-launch, an expensive affair at Rs.12 crores, is to have Rahman performing live in front of limited number of audiences. Rajini, his wife Latha, son-in-law Dhanush and his daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya left for Dubai yesterday to take part in the audio-launch tomorrow.
