Actor Vishal has appealed to girls of Church Park Convent in Chennai to shape up first as ‘good citizens’ irrespective of the professions they might opt for in future.
Taking part in the annual dey celebrations of the School a few days back, Vishal said “It’s an encouraging thing that schools are conducting cultural programmes aplenty as part of the annual day celebrations. Mere academic qualification won’t take you places. Taking part in such events is always a great experience and it would stand the students good stead in future.
“During my days in School, I had taken part in many such events. I request all of you to make use of all the opportunities you get to get up on stage and perform. I can speak well on stage now mainly because of my experiences in the past. You have got a good group of teachers who would do everything at their behest to make you good citizens.
“Many achievers including former chief-minister ‘Puratchithalaivi’ J. Jayalalithaa and actress Trisha, a close friend of mine, had studied in this prestigious institution. We are all waiting for you to come out and make your own future while remaining as good citizens all the time. I wish you all the very best in your endeavours with the advice to do and speak everything right from the bottom of your heart,” Vishal concluded.
