Remember model-actress-cricket commentator Mandira Bedi, who made the ‘noodle-strap bra’ popular all over the world during the 2003 cricket world cup? The Punjabi Kudi, who still looks sizzling despite her 45 years of age, is making a comeback to films by starring in ‘Baahubali’ fame Prabhas’ debut Hindi film titled as Saaho.
Mandira, who was spotted in films such as the memorable Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Bobby Deol’s Badal, starred in Simbu’s Manmathan more than a decade back. She didn’t indulge in cricket commentary after the 2003 cricket world cup but was busy on social networking sites and in other social platforms. She now makes a comeback to films with Saaho after a long hiatus.
Mandira plays the ‘vamp’ in the film which has Prabhas romancing Shraddha Kapoor. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kollywood’s Arun Vijay (making his debut in Bollywood), Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar and Tinnu Anand make up a huge star-cast in the film.
“It’s a negative character for sure and I have whole-heartedly agreed to portray this character as it has plenty of challenges,” says Mandira. “We completed the first schedule of shoot of Saaho recently in Hyderabad and I am eagerly looking forward to the next schedule,” Mandira adds.
Meanwhile, it is reported that heroine Shraddha Kapoor has already started learning Telugu for the Hindi-Telugu bilingual Saaho so as to get the lip-sync right during the dubbing stage.
