National award-winning actress Priyamani has asserted that she would report for the shoot of her new film within a couple of days of her marriage scheduled to take place next week.
The Paruthiveeran and Malaikkottai actress, who has starred in plenty of Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films as well, hasn’t starred in Tamil films for a long time now. She was last spotted in the role of conjoined twins in Chaarulatha in 2012. She fell in love with industrialist Mustafa Raj and would be tying the nuptial knot with him on Wednesday (23rd August) at a simple wedding ceremony.
A wedding reception would take place the next day on 24th August which is expected to be attended by her friends and well-wishers from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries. “As we are from different religions, we have decided to opt for a registered marriage,” informs the 33-year old actress.
To a specific query about whether she would continue to star in films after marriage, she said “I would continue to star in films, of course; in fact, I would report for the shoot of my upcoming film within two days after the wedding reception,” she revealed and added that she would continue to be part of the entertainment industry.
