Actor Kathir and actress Srushti Dange are coming together for the first time on-screen for an upcoming film titled as Sathru which is produced by R.D. Infinity Deal Entertainment, which made the successful Bongu which released a few months back.
Rajarathinam and Sridharan are the joint produces of the film which has, besides the lead cast, the likes of Ponvannan, Neelima, Marimuthu, Rishi, Suja Varunee, Pawan, Arjun Ram, Raghunath, Geeyan, Sadhu, Gurumuthy and Bala in prominent roles. Lagubaran, who played the lead role in Raattinam some time back, plays the antagonist in the film.
Mahesh Mushuswami isthe film’s cinematographer while Amrish scores the music. Madhan Karky, Kabilan and Sorco pen the film’s lyrics. Naveen Nanjundaan, the debutant director of the film who also pens the story, screenplay and dialogues, assures that the action-thriller film has shaped up very well.
“It’s a script which narrates in detail sequence of events occurring in 24 hours and would definitely be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Kathir has pumped up hard at the gym and acquired the necessary physique to play a cop’s role in the film, which is something he hadn’t done before. I hope the film industry’s sentiment of films which have heroes essaying cop’s role for the first time would do well works out in this case.
“Srushti pairs up perfectly with Kathir and their on-screen pairing has come out really nicely. I’m also thankful to the producers for their excellent cooperation. We plan to hold the film’s music launch in a fortnight or two,” concludes Nanjundaan.
