An upcoming film titled as Puyala Kilambi Varrom directed by G. Arumugam Balu, an erstwhile assistant of the late and legendary Balu Mahendra, is hitting the screens across the State tomorrow (28th July).
Produced by V. Hariharan on behalf of his banner ‘Jayashree Movie Makers’, debutant director Arumugam states that Puyala Kilambi Varrom is set in the backdrop of Madurai and is about the new-age youths who may appear as if they are not interested in politics or things happening around them but would get into action immediately when they are double-crossed.
Thaman and Madhu Sree have essayed lead roles in the film which has RNR Manohar, Singampuli, Thirumurugan, Azhagan Tamizhmani and Risha in lead roles. Arumugam Balu, who has made plenty of short-films in the past, is vastly experienced as he braces for his big-screen debut as a film-maker.
“The one-liner of the film is that however strong the opposition is, it would wilt in the face of justful anger of educated youth. Though the script is set in the backdrop of Madurai, we have shot widely in Madurai, Chennai, Kodaikkanal and Puducherry. We have managed to wrap up the entire film’s shoot in just 31 days,” Balu concludes.
