Director Vijay, who is often blamed for directing films catered to multiplex audiences, doesn’t believe that he makes movies for any particular segment of fans.
“All films need not work with everyone. Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon’s films also faced the same criticism. At the end of the day, we all want to make sure that our producers are happy. That’s what I’m careful about while making a movie. I need my investors to earn the profit,” he told.
“But, I don’t specifically make films for any segment of the audiences. I want everyone, from villages to towns to cities, to watch my movies,” he added.
