Actor-producer Vijay Sethupathi has termed actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as a confident, bold and fast actress.
Vijay Sethupathi’s comments came during his speech at the recent meet-the-press event held in Chennai in connection with the release of his upcoming film titled as Vikram Vedha in which he plays the antagonist opposite protagonist Madhavan.
The husband-wife duo of Pushkar and Gayathri has directed the film which is produced by Sashikanth. It has Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Kathir, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Shraddha Srinath, John Vijay, Prem and Rajkumar essaying major roles. C.S. Sam is the music director of the film which has been cinematographed by P.S. Vinod. Richard Kevin is the film’s editor.
To release in theatres next Friday (07th July), the film’s script is reportedly about the goings-on between an encounter specialist (a cop essayed by Madhavan) and a don (Vijay Sethupathi). “I was at first apprehensive in action alongside Madhavan who is senior to me by many years in the industry. However, Madhavan put me at ease within minutes of meeting him,” Vijay Sethupathi said.
“Varalaxmi is a very fast, bold and confident actress. She speaks at a terrific pace and only after re-winding her speech in the mind, one can understand what she has spoken about,” he said and lauded her work in the film. Maddy, in turn, praised Vijay Sethupathi as the ‘most brilliant’ actor he had ever worked with.
