Comedian Santhanam, who has consciously taken a decision not to play comedian anymore in films but only to play lead roles, is disappointed at his continuing streak of ill-luck which has delayed the release of his upcoming film Server Sundaram.
Though the film’s shoot had been completed a few months back, the film hasn’t yet seen the light of the day. The film’s crew recently launched a low-key promotional campaign, unsure of when the film might hit the screens.
Produced by Kenanya Films, the film has been caught in a ‘no man’s land’ as distributors who had earlier acquired the release and distribution rights of Kadavul Irukkaan Kumaru (produced by Kenanya Films) are demanding compensation from the producer for the film’s no-show at the box-office stating that only then they would take up the distribution rights of Server Sundaram.
Santhanam and Vaibhavi Shandilya (who also pairs up opposite him in another film Sakka Podu Podu Raja) play the lead roles in the film which has music by Santhosh Narayanan. Santhanam is said to be hugely disappointed that his film’s release is suffering for no fault of him or the crew members.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the shoot of his upcoming film directed by Selvaraghavan has also met with some bottlenecks.
