No more Tamil films for me, please: Anushka

Actress Anushka Shetty, who is in her mid-thirties, looks as cute as ever but the fact that her face has started showing signs of ageing is indisputable. She looked very beautiful at the recently-held audio-launches of the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of her upcoming S.S. Rajamouli-directed magnum opus Baahubali 2 which hits the screens across the globe the day-after-tomorrow (28th April).

The actress, though, is still in demand among Telugu film-makers even as her family has been very serious in locating a suitable bride for her to get married. It was rumuored a few months back that Anushka was in love with her Baahubali co-star Prabhas and was planning to get hitched to him after the release of the sequel.

Her next release after Baahubali 2 would be Bhagmati, a modern-day thriller which has a heroine-oriented script. Unni Mukundan, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jayaram and Asha Sarath play lead roles in the film besides Anushka. Though she has been hearing scripts from Tamil film-makers, she doesn’t seem to be in a mood to take up the offers.

Anushka, the 35-plus actress, is said to be ‘upset’ with Tamil media which has always said that she looked ‘out-of-shape’ and ‘fat’. She is said to be telling her close circle of friends that she realized only later (as she can’t read Tamil) that the Tamil press had been constantly pulling her legs after Size Zero (Inji Iduppazhagi).

“As such, I don’t want to take up any Tamil projects in the near future,” she reportedly told them.

Whose loss it would be: Anushka’s or Kollywood’s?
