“Feel proud to die as a Tamizhan,” says Sathyaraj on Baahubali 2 controversy

Following director SS Rajamouli’s video statement appealing Kannadigas to let Baahubali 2 release in Karnataka without any trouble, now Sathyaraj himself has issued a statement where he has expressed regret for his derogatory remarks which were made nine years back.

“I am not against Kannadiga or Karnataka. The biggest example for this is that for my assistant Shekar who is a kannadiga and has been working with me for the past 35 years. I would like to express my regret on the remarks which Kannadigas feel as hurtful,” said Sathyaraj.

“But, I would also like to clarify that I would continue to fight for Tamil people’s rights. I feel proud to die as a Tamizhan than as an actor,” he added.
