Akahara Haasan, who would soon be debuting as an actress in Tamil films, has revealed that she wants to shave her curls for a film and acquire a look similar to what her father Kamal Haasan had in the 2001 film Aalavandhaan.
Akshara, who had been aspiring to make it as a director in films, worked in a few films as an assistant director but debuted as heroine in Hindi films opposite Dhanush in the hit film Shamitabh. She now forays into the Tamil film industry, following on the footsteps of her elder sister Shruti Haasan, by playing a prominent role in Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Vivegam.
“I want to star in at least film with a shaved head; however, I have so far been not offered any such role. As and when I get such an offer, I shall take it up and would do full justice to that role. Tonsuring my head is not new to me; in my younger days, I didn’t have long hair and once I asked my father how a tonsured head would look like. He told me he would show it and took me to the bathroom and shaved my head.
“I was just seven years old at that time but I loved the tonsured look. I always had great, fun-filled moments with my father,” says Akshara who is presently busy promoting her upcoming Hindi film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana which is to release in the first week of April.
