Director Selvaraghavan faced wrath of superstar Rajinikanth’s fans when he named actor-director SJ Suryah as the next ‘superstar’ of Tamil films.
Ironically enough, Selva faced severe criticism from Rajini’s fans on his birthday yesterday. Selva turned 40 recently (on 05th February) and was wished by many celebrities on their respective Twitter accounts.
Among those who wished him were Suryah, who plays the hero in Selva’s soon-to-be-released Nenjm Marappadhillai which has Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha as female leads.
Thanking Suryah for his wishes, Selva said that be believed that Suryah would be the ‘next superstar’ of Tamil films. Suryah was clever enough not to re-tweet it. Selvaa’s comments irked millions of superstar’s fans who wasted no time in taking him to task for terming part-time actor Suryah as the next superstar.
One irate fan wondered whether Selva was in the right ‘mental state’ when he made the above-said comments.
