‘Rockline’ Venkatesh, producer of superstar Rajinikanth’s 2015 hit film Lingaa, is all set to make his acting debut in films by playing a significant role in director Bala’s upcoming film.
Titled as Naachiyar, the film has the talented and still good-looking Jyothika in the protagonist’s role. As reported earlier, music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash Kumar plays a significant role of a rustic youth in the film as he plays Jyothika’s younger brother. The first-look posters of the film were released early this week and the film got to the floors with Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s blessings.
Though no official word has been said, Venkatesh nodded in agreement when contacted about his acting debut in Tamil. He had already starred in a couple of Kannada films and is only too excited to be making his debut in Tamil films as an actor.
“I couldn’t believe my ears when Bala Sir approached me with the offer after he watched the two Kannada films that I had worked earlier,” says Venkatesh. “It’s indeed a huge honour to be part of a film-maker such as Bala’s venture,” he added.
