Bharathiraja goes nostalgic!

Kanavu Vaariyam which is based on the plot that importance should be given to grassroots level innovation has already won 2 Remi awards. This film is also the first in Tamil industry to be released by Hollywood’s Warner Brothers. The audio launch had specials guests like film director BharathiRaja, ISRO – VSSC Director Dr K.Sivan, singer Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram, Udaykumar – who designed the Indian Rupee currency sign, Weatherman Pradeep John.

“It feels so proud that today’s youngsters also follow organic farming, rather taking up a corporate profession. My son has also taken up organic farming,” told singer Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram in the event.

Director BharathiRaja while addressing the media, “Amidst the current mafia films, this film has the flavors of our land. It’s an added value that the film has also registered our cultural heritage. During my early years the films made inside a set drove me mad, after that I took the cameras to villages. It is that anger that provoked me to make such films”.

While talking about his film, director Arun Chidambaram told, “We should hunt, nurture and celebrate the talents who have fresh ideas and do innovation.”

“This is a different experience for me; a song in this film brings me, my childhood’s fond reminiscence of my village. Am so pleased to share the stage with director BharathRaja” told Dr K. Sivan – the director of VSSC, ISRO.
