Director Suseenthiran has thanked a fan for making him feel inspired to direct his latest offering Maaveeran Kittu which he says is his best work till date as a film-maker.
Starring Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead, Suseenthiran’s Maaveeran Kittu released in more than 380 halls last Friday. It is said to be a very different film even as critics and movie-goers have lauded his attempt in making the film whose script is based on a real-life incident which took place in the State in the past.
“A few months back when I was at a shopping complex, a fan came up to me and told me that he wanted me to make a film which would do all the Tamils proud. From that day onwards, those words kept reverberating in my ears and I went into deep-thinking mode to make a film of that kind.
“I’m sure that irrespective of its box-office showing, Maaveeran Kittu would turn out to be a very important film in the history of Indian films. I’m proud that I have directed this film and at this juncture, I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the unknown fan who inspired me to make this film,” Suseenthiran says.
