I didn’t insult Raadhika Madam in Dharma Durai: asserts Seenu Ramasamy

I-didn’t-insult-Raadhika-Madam-in-Dharma-Durai-asserts-Seenu-RamasamySeenu Ramasamy, the director of Vijay Sethupathi’s latest film Dharma Durai, has categorically stated that he never meant to ‘insult’ veteran actress Raadhika who had essayed a small yet significant role in the film which has been announced as a ‘hit film’ by trade pundits.

Starring a bevy of beauties in ‘milky beauty’ Tamannaah, Aishwarya Rajesh and Srushti Dange and with music by ‘Jr. Maestro’ Yuvan Shankar Raja, Dharma Durai released in theaters last Friday (19th August) and has been going great guns at all the places where it was screened. Sarathkumar had claimed that Ramasamy had insulted Raadhika by not showing her name separately in the film’s title cards.

“A look at the character essayed by Raadhika Madam is proof enough of the regards and respects that I have for her. It’s been my long-pending dream to work with Raadhika; in fact, I tried my best to cast her in my Tenmerku Paruvakkaatru but couldn’t do so and instead cast Saranya Ponvannan who went on to bag a national award for ‘best supporting actress’ for her character in the film.

“Later, when I met Raadhika, I told her about the difficulties I faced in casting her in my film. She agreed to star in the film and I’m thankful to her for this. It was me who told the art director to display Raadhika’s name along with another senior actor Rajesh in the title cards of the film. Had I been asked earlier by Sarathkumar to display Raadhika Madam’s name separately, I would have done so for sure,” says Seenu Ramasamy.
