Is Dhanush’s Kodi about the ills of nuclear plants in civilian areas?

Is-Dhanush’s-Kodi-about-the-ills-of-nuclear-plants-in-civilian-areas-1It is said that the script of national award-winning actor Dhanush’s upcoming film Kodi deals the ills of nuclear reactors being set up in civilian localities.

Starring Dhanush, Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead and directed by Durai Senthilkumar (of Ethir Neechal and Kakki Sattai fame) who gets to direct his first film starring Dhanush in the lead. Incidentally enough, Senthilkumar’s earlier films as director were also produced by Dhanush under his banner ‘Wundarbar Films’. The film also features Dhanush in his first-ever dual role avatars.

Dhanush and Trisha have played politicians in the film whose release date hasn’t yet been confirmed by the film’s crew. In the meantime, reports say that the script is about the protest by the people of a village against a nuclear plant which the Govt. plans to set up in their locality. Listing the ills of staying close to such plants, people protest against the plant.

The rest of the film is about whether people’s protest met with success or not. Santhosh Narayaan has scored the film’s music which is likely to release in theatres a few weeks after Dhanush’s Prabbu Solomon-directed Thodari hits the screens.
