The untitled film is directed by Barathan, who directed Vijay more than 9 years back in the failed project Azhagiya Tamizh Magan.

Keerthy Suresh and Mollywood’s Aparna Vinod play the two heroines opposite Vijay who appears to be very keen of late in ensuring that his films have at least two heroines. The film wrapped up its first schedule in Chennai ahd has just moved to Hyderabad for the second schedule of the shoot.

Vijay has been running into controversies with titles of his films; even Thalaivaa was objected to by many though it didn’t make waves at box-office. Sections of the media reported that the film’s crew chose the title of Enga Veettu Pillai, a super-duper hit film starring the late and legendary MGR in dual roles. MGR’s fans immediately expressed their reservations in a Vijay film getting the title of the film of their ‘Thalaivar’.

The crew of the film has denied that it was contemplating using the title of Enga Veettu Pillai. “We haven’t been planning to use this title,” it has said and added that the title and the first-look of the film would be revealed on Vijay’s birthday in the fourth week of this month.
