Mridula can hardly wait to star opposite Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi

Mridula-MuraliRemember Mridula Murali, who debuted as an actress in Tamil films by playing a significant role in late director Manivannan’s last directorial venture Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA (sequel to Amaidhi Padai) in 2013?

The actress starred in a non-starter Chikkikku Sikkikichu last year but was hardly noted as the film sank without a trace. A popular model and an adept Bharatnatyam danseuse, Mridula was anchoring programmes on small-screen prior to switching over to films.

“During my younger days, I was often asked as to what I wanted to become when I grew up: my answer would invariably be that I wanted to become an actress. Right from my younger days, I had an urge to dazzle in films as I was so overwhelmed by the popularity and attention heroines used to get in those days and even now.

“I watch Tamil films regularly back home in Kerala. I want to star opposite Vijay Sethupathi and Sivakarthikeyan, both of whom have been going through a highly successful phase in the Tamil film industry.

I hope I could get offers to star against them if ‘lady luck’ smiles on me. I want to emulate the feats of Nayantara and become dear to Tamil fans and audiences,” Mridula says with lots of hope.
