Finally, the much-awaited combo of music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and director Selvaraghavan is back; reports from Kollywood say that Yuvan Shankar Raja has just replace Santhosh Narayanan as the music director in Selvaraghavan’s upcoming directorial venture Nenjam Marappadhillai.
Yuvan and Selva, who weaved magic in films such as Kadhal Kondein, 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudhupettai, haven’t been together for the past few years. After he split with Yuvan, Selva worked with G.V. Prakash Kumar and Harris Jeyaraj but somehow couldn’t repeat the kind of success he achieved when he had Yuvan’s music backing his films.
The duo came together in last year’s Kaan which had Simbu, Catherine Tresa and Taapsee Pannu in the lead; however, for some reaons, the film has been abandoned. Selva is now making a thriller titled Nenjam Marappadhillai which has actor-director S.J. Suriyah, Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha in the lead.
Santhosh Narayanan, who was first signed up as the film’s music director, has since been replaced by Yuvan Shankar Raja in what would be ‘music’ to fans of Yuvan and Selva. It is reported that more than 80% of the shoot of Nenjam Marappadhillai has already been wrapped up.
