Music director-turned-hero G.V. Prakash Kumar’s upcoming film Pencil would be hitting the screens on 22nd April (next Friday).
Pencil, launched more than two years back, was to have been the debut as hero in respect of G.V. Prakash Kumar.
The film’s release hit a few unexpected bottlenecks after which Kumar signed up to star in the horror-comedy venture Darling which released early last year and did well in theatres. He followed it up later in the year with the highly controversial yet successful Trisha Illana Nayantara.
Sri Divya was signed up as Kumar’s heroine soon after she debuted in Tamil films opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Kumar, busy now with projects aplenty on his hands as hero, couldn’t concentrate in making efforts to get Pencil released. Finally, all the hurdles have been cleared paving the film’s release.
It has been announced by Kumar on his micro-blogging site that the film would be released on 22nd April.
