Rajinikanth’s upcoming Shankar-directed sci-fi film 2.0 has been insured for a record sum of Rs.330 crores, which is an unheard-of sum as far as Indian films are concerned.
Lyka Productions, which produces the Shankar-directed Rajinikanth-Amy Jackson-Akshay Kumar starrer in its bid to make the most expensive film ever to have been made in India, has just commenced the next schedule of the film’s shoot in Delhi’s Ferozeshah Kotla cricket stadium.
Insiders say on condition of anonymity that the film’s final budget might even touch Rs.350 crores. It now turns out that the film has been insured for Rs.330 crores, a record sum as far as Indian films are concerned. The insurance companies which are involved in the deal are Oriental Insurance and United India Insurance.
With Rajini in the lead, anything is possible; isn’t it?
