Srikanth reveals that he fears the unknown ‘ghost’

srikanth-696x523Srikanth has revealed that he does have the fear of the unknown ‘ghost’ deep inside his mind. He was responding to queries on the eve of his latest film Sowcarpettai releasing simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu last Friday across halls in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Starring Srikanth, Raai Laxmi, Saravanan, Suman, Vadivukkarasi , Singampuli, Manobala, ‘Thalaivasal’ Vijay, Rekha and Aarthi in the lead, Sowcarpettai has been received well by the audience despite not getting very good reviews from critics.

In his recent interview, Srikanth conceded that he did have the fear of ‘ghost’ in his mind. “Who doesn’t fear ghost; I was afraid of darkness in my younger days. Later, I watched Hollywood’s horror films and was deeply impressed by them.

Omen still remains my most-favourite horror film. Though I remain outwardly courageous, the fear of the unknown ‘ghost’ is still lurking at the back of my mind.

“Superstitions about ghosts are widespread in almost all the countries. During a trip to Scotland, I was told that ‘ghost’ lived in a tunnel; I went there with a torch-light in hand but couldn’t spot the ‘ghost’. The question of whether or not ‘ghost’ exists in real life still continues to haunt me,” says Srikanth.
