For Iniya, appreciation matters more than the money she gets

IniyaIniya, the actress who showed to her fans and critics that she was willing to take on challenging roles when she played a negative role in the Vishal-Lakshmi Menon Naan Sigappu Manithan, has said that thought money mattered to everyone for survival, she considered appreciation from fans and critics more important than money.

After debuting in Tamil films with Mysskin’s Cheran-starrer Yuddham Sei a few years back, Iniaya has starred in Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Mounaguru, Ammavin Kapiesi, Maasani, Pulivaal and Chennai Oru Naal and has more than a handful of films in Tamil.

Iniya proved that she meant business when she starred in some steamy intimate sequences with an elderly Lal for the Malayalam film Ayaal in 2013.

She is now part of Karai Oram, Jithan 2, Kaadhal Solla Neram Illai and Vaigai Express. Speaking recently to newsmen, she said that though money mattered to her as it was to others, she was keen particularly in earning good name as an actress of substance than earning money by taking up all the offers that come her way.

Busy with her Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil film projects, Iniya recently went on record that she was hesitant to ‘fight’ with Simran (for the film, of course!) in the upcoming film Karai Oram.

The Trivandrum-born actress adds that her burning ambition at the moment was to star in films opposite superstar Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar and Vijay.
