Kabali crew worried about excess leak of film’s still photographs

11707401_994292017260240_2722040485758544892_nCrew of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kabali has expressed its concern about the increasing incidents of leakage of still photographs taken apparently during the shoot of the film by light-boys or other members of the crew using their mobile phones.

Ever since the film’s shoot commenced in the third week of September, internet has been jammed with updates on the film’s shoot and various other info related to the film’s cast members.

The kind of welcome Rajini was accorded upon his arrival in Malaysia for the second schedule of the film’s shoot has taken Malaysians, Indians and the whole South East Asia by surprise. Fans have been posting photos of shaking hands with/hugging Rajinikanth.

Script of Kabali has been kept a closely-guarded secret and crew members have been asked not to reveal it to others. Huge sets have been erected in Malaysia to shoot the film.

Crew members have been issued special photo identity-cards and security guards have been posted at these sets to ensure that no outside catches any of the ‘action’ that takes place, including Rajini’s looks in the film.

Already, a few photographs showing Rajini speaking angrily, eating snacks at a café, alighting from his car and getting arrested by the Malaysian Police have been leaked on the net.

As if adding fuel to the fire, many regional weeklies have also been publishing Rajini’s get-up on their cover-pages. All artistes including dancers, junior artistes, etc. have been instructed not to shoot Rajini’s photo on the sets using mobiles. Crew has also appealed to the fans not to share such photos on the Net.
