It was already reported in these columns that superstar Rajinikanth’s next film after his Pa. Ranjith-directed film which to go to floor shortly would be made by Shankar.
Rajini and Shankar have had mightily successful association with two colossal hits in Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran: The Robot. It was also informed earlier that their third film together would be the sequel to Enthiran.
It now turns out that the proposed film would not only be the most expensive film to have ever been made in the country but would also have a record number of technicians working in it. To be produced with a budget of Rs.300 crores, it easily beats Baahubali which holds the record for the most expensive film in the country as it was made with a budget of Rs.240 crores.
Sequel to Enthiran will have many ‘firsts’ as it is to be the most expensive film, to have the most number of technicians/assistant directors and to be shot in the most number of countries.
Reports say that as many as 27 assistant directors have been ‘finalized’ to work under Shankar and assist him on the sets. Shankar is said to have already commenced his first round of discussions with his team of assistant directors.
10 production executives would also be working for the film, it is said, as Shankar has ‘changed’ his team to work in a style resembling the production of Hollywood films. Like he did with Enthiran, Shankar would once again take up the responsibility of designing the action sequences in the climax of the sequel as well. He would, however, be assisted by Peter Hein and many Hollywood stunt choreographers.
The first schedule of the film’s shoot would be held in the outskirts of Chennai, areas where no film’s shoot had so far been held so far while the remaining portions would be shot in many countries abroad.
