Despite mixed bags of criticism, Dhanush’s latest film Maari, which released last Friday, has courted huge success at the box-office. Dhanush has gone ahead and presented gold chains to the crew members of the film so as to celebrate the film’s success.
Dhanush, who is also one of the producers of the film, is only taking forward the rich tradition introduced by his father-in-law and superstar Rajinikanth who launched the habit of presenting gold chains to the crew members of his films in the early nineties.
Dhanush did the same ritual when Kaaka Muttai, produced by him, succeeded in a big way at the box-office a few months back.
‘Robot’ Shankar, Vijay Yesudoss, director Balaji Mohan, music director Anirdudh and Vinod were the lucky ones who got a gold chain each from Dhanush.
Vijay Yesudoss, the playback singer who debuted as an actor with Maari by essaying a cop’s role, was so overwhelmed that he attempted to touch Dhanush’s feet and seek his blessings. Dhanush, however, prevented him from doing so and hugged him!
Last heard, Vijay Yesudoss is said to be getting many offers to act in films as well!
